If you’re planning on opting for an Apple Watch Edition model, you may have some more waiting to do.
As spotted by MacRumors, the Apple Watch Edition is currently on sale in the US, Canada, and the UK. The availability or non-availability of the high-end titanium Apple Watch Series 7 models comes as Apple is just weeks away from announcing the Apple Watch Series 8 models at an event expected to begin in September.
In addition to revealing the Apple Watch Series 8, the company is also expected to announce the iPhone 14 models as well as the second generation AirPods Pro at the event.
What can we expect from the Apple Watch Series 8?
There are a lot of rumors swirling around the Apple Watch Series 8.
For regular Series 8 models, the biggest rumors point to some new health features including temperature monitoring and even car crash detection. In addition, there are rumors that the company could bring in surveillance satellite communications for emergencies.
There are also rumors that the company may introduce a second generation Apple Watch SE. While the rumors exist, there isn’t much in terms of what the next generation of SE might look like.
The biggest rumor about the Apple Watch Series 8 is the introduction of a brand new model that many believe will be a solid version of the Apple Watch called “Apple Watch Pro”. This model is expected to feature a larger screen, longer battery life, and a durable design.
The new model will target Apple Watch users who need something for more extreme scenarios like triathlon, rock climbing, mountain biking and other devices that require gear that can take a beating. While that’s great news for anyone who needs something more “professional,” this version may also come with a price tag of $999.
We’ll have to wait and see, but it looks like things are shaping up for the Apple Watch to get the biggest announcement at its September event.
Apple Watch Series 7 features a larger display, a more durable display, and fast charging.
