After Nintendo’s first-quarter financial results were announced yesterday, the Japanese Nikkei outlet was able to ask Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa if any new Nintendo Switch models could be released this year.
Doesn’t look good.
According to the report (protected by a paywall), when asked, Furukawa said there will be no new Nintendo Switch consoles this year. This is the fiscal year that Nintendo ends in March 2023.
So if you’ve been hoping to get the latest Nintendo Switch model for Christmas, you might as well wait a little longer. Nikkei has an interesting history when it comes to reporting Nintendo items, check out this article we wrote about earlier.
