He removed the second dinner Nexus Events last week after players continued to be opposed to monetizing a massive mechanic. Also, the source of frustration is what players feel is a misrepresentation of the possibilities involved in drawing high level rewards. All of the game’s best rewards – including the Jane Foster card mentioned above – are locked behind a tiny drop rate, meaning players will have to funnel hundreds of dollars into the game if they want to secure expensive gear.
The player’s ire was the feeling that the game’s marketing did not satisfactorily convey what a Nexus event is.
The situation was made worse by the studio’s statement, just months ago, that players would be able to accumulate “every card in the game over time, without paying anything.”
It feels like the second dinner should have seen all of this coming. When you tell players that they can finally get every card for their deck and only months later keep a powerful card locked behind a paid random dealer… yeah, players will get upset.
How Marvel SnapPolicy monetization changes yet remains to be seen. The monetization will return because the game has to earn money somehow. For now, it’s a wait-and-see game.
The second dinner is the brainchild of the previous hearthstone Game Director Ben Broad, who co-founded the studio after leaving Blizzard in 2018. Beyond monetization squabbles, most players seem to really love the card game inside Marvel Snap So far the matches have a fast pace, and they enhance strategies and synergies that tickle the brain in every way hearthstone He did at his best under Brode.
Marvel Snap Currently in closed beta in Australia on iOS and Android. The second dinner says that the game will eventually make its way to PC as well. Beta access is slowly being rolled out in different regions before being released on a larger scale.
