Right in the back of the latest release, the long-awaited Azure Striker Gunvolt 3, Inti Creates decided not to rest on its laurels.
Grim Guardians: Demon Purge is an all-new 2D action platformer that seems to take an influence from all of Inti Creates’ greatest hits. It has Castlevania-like gothic horror themes, such as Bloodstained Curse of the Moon, and some pretty amazing gameplay, consisting of a duo of instantly interchangeable characters – Shinobu Kamizono, a long-range Mega Man/Gunvolt shooter, and Maya Kamizono, a brave Mega Man Zero up close. The game also features two-player co-op, which allows players to control one of the characters to use their skills simultaneously, rather than one at a time. Everything looks incredibly amazing (and as a side note, the Co-op animation revival is pretty funny).
We don’t know exactly when the Grim Guardians will be released, but when it does, it will be available on Switch, as well as pretty much every other platform under the sun.
When the Earth Demon Castle is darkened, two sisters challenge their halls. Together the curse can be broken. Development has begun on a 2D platformer starring two demon hunters on a mission to save their school!
Players control the two sisters with different attacks and abilities to challenge the Devil’s Castle and the bosses waiting inside. Discover new ways through the castle using the sisters’ unique abilities! The stars of the Grim Guardians are “Shinobu Kamizono” who focuses on long-distance and bravery at close range, “Maya Kamizono”. Players will need to consider the situation when choosing which sister they control as they make their way through the castle, and investigate the mystery of what happened to their school and its students.
Other features include two-way co-op with special actions, extensive difficulty options with the Style System, unique changes to recurring plays, and most importantly, the quality and challenge players have come to expect from Inti Creates games, this time with a new aesthetic of Gothic horror.
