Apple Watch Edition models went on sale just weeks before the Apple Watch Series 8 lineup was announced.

Several high-end Apple Watch Series 7 models with titanium cases are listed as “Currently Unavailable” on the Apple Online Store in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and select other countries. In the US, the availability of 41mm models is more exhausted at this time, but some 45mm models are also not available.

The Apple Watch Series 8 models are expected to be unveiled along with the iPhone 14 in September. In addition to two standard 8-Series models, Apple plans to offer a “rugged” model with a larger screen and a more durable design that’s suitable for hiking and extreme sports, according to BloombergMark Gorman. While the rugged model is said to have a titanium case, it is unclear if it will be classified as the Apple Watch version.

Other rumored features of the Apple Watch Series 8 include the ability to detect if you have a fever and the “S8” chip with the same processor specs as the S7 chip in the Series 7. For more information, see the Apple Watch Series 8 guide.
